This isn’t a criticism by any means, just mere curiosity: I too have a
Kenwood Chef mixer and I know that they all come with splatter guards to
prevent the dry ingredients being kicked up and outta the bowl. So why
don’t you use yours Stephanie? Is there a reason or is it just personal
preference?

    Joy of Baking October 24, 2014 0:27:46

+Niall McCrohan Just personal preference. I have used the guard but I
    really don’t like it.

can I add oil instead of butter? how much should I put please

BradAshby October 4, 2015 4:31:30

I had to double the recipe to fill two 8″ cake pans, splitting the recipe
between two pans was way toooooo thin.

ChrissyCrow October 23, 2015 18:13:11

Helen Anagnostopoulou March 13, 2016 11:21:48

Ganesh Murugayah April 23, 2016 1:48:58

oh it should be tasty

Susan Susan May 1, 2016 12:25:59

Do you HAVE to refrigerate?

    Joy of Baking May 2, 2016 15:47:59

+Susan Susan Once you frost the cake it does need to be refrigerated.

Susan Susan May 16, 2016 20:48:40

+ Joy of Baking
I made a red velvet cake, I frosted it with cream cheese. I didn’t
refrigerate. And it was pretty good, so should I refrigerate on this one, I
always make cakes and it comes out perfect without refrigerating anything,
though.
